Stop it if you can… Now Russia is extracting LNG from the Arctic and selling it to China, an open challenge to America.

Russia has started extracting LNG from the Arctic and selling it to China despite US sanctions. The second LNG tanker from Siberia’s Arctic LNG 2 project has recently arrived in China. This delivery has taken place soon after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China.

The impact of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping is beginning to show. Russia has supplied the second batch of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China under the banned Arctic LNG 2 project. This gas has arrived through an LNG tanker. In such a situation, questions are arising whether America will take similar action against China for purchasing banned Russian gas as it has taken against India. America has imposed a 50 percent tariff against India on the purchase of Russian oil. However, the Trump administration has not yet taken anything against China, the biggest buyer of Russian oil and gas.

The Russian Voskhod LNG tanker headed south after unloading 150,000 cubic metres of LNG at the Taishan port in Guangxi, China. This is the second shipment from the banned Arctic LNG 2 project in China. Earlier in August, the Arctic Mulan tanker arrived in Beihai. The project, which is set to begin production in December 2023, is facing Western sanctions and a shortage of ice-class gas carriers. The shipment arrived a few days after Putin’s visit to China.

Donald Trump suddenly changed his tone about India, said- ‘I will always be a friend of Modi, he is a great PM’

Amid the ongoing tension between India and the US over oil purchase from Russia and tariffs, US President Donald Trump has said that his relationship with India is ‘special’ and there is nothing to worry about. Trump said that he will always maintain his friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but he is ‘disappointed’ with India’s decision to buy oil from Russia. Let us tell you that Trump had recently written on social media that it seems America has lost India and Russia to China.

Sometimes, moments like this come along’

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office of the White House on Friday, Trump said, “I will always be a friend of Modi. He is a wonderful Prime Minister. There is a special relationship between India and America. There is nothing to worry about. Sometimes such moments come.” ‘ This statement has come at a time when relations between the two countries are going through perhaps the most difficult phase in the last two decades. Putin furious over West’s security guarantee for Ukraine, openly threatens NATO countries

Russia has made it clear that it will not accept the deployment of foreign troops to guarantee security in Ukraine. Such a proposal was presented by NATO countries.

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected Western security guarantees for Ukraine, warning against such a move, saying foreign troops stationed in Ukraine would be targets of the Russian military. This warning was given by Putin on Friday. Just a day earlier, several NATO countries had talked about sending troops to Kiev as a security guarantee in the peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine. According to Al Jazeera, at a summit of 35 countries called the Coalition of the willing on Thursday, 26 countries agreed to provide troops to Ukraine if Donald Trump’s peace efforts are successful. French President Emmanuel Macron said during this time that 26 Western countries formally promised that the day after the ceasefire, they would send troops for the security of Ukraine by land, sea or air.

    Putin showed a tough stance

Vladimir Putin said on Friday, ‘If foreign soldiers appear during the fighting in Ukraine, we will move forward and they will be our legitimate target. Putin clearly said during this time that the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine is not good for long-term peace. Putin said security guarantees must be ensured for both Russia and Ukraine but Kiev is resorting to maneuvering instead of showing seriousness. Putin further said, ‘Kiev’s close military ties with Western countries are one of the root causes of the Ukraine-Russia war that started in February 2022. If decisions are taken that lead things towards long-term peace, I see no point in the presence of Western troops on Ukrainian soil. On the contrary, their presence in Ukraine will become a major obstacle to peace.

Google was fined $3.5 billion by Europe. Donald Trump has strongly criticized warned to Europe that Section 301 will be implemented if discriminatory action against American companies is not stopped.

US President Donald Trump, who returned to power with the slogan ‘Make America Great Again’, has, at the start of his second term, emphasized on reducing America’s trade deficit by imposing tariffs on countries around the world. Meanwhile, Trump has taken a tough stand after Europe imposed a fine of $2.9 billion on tech company Google. Posting on social media platform Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote, “Google has been fined $3.5 billion by Europe. This is discriminatory action against American companies and investments. Europe has imposed heavy fines on Google and other US tech companies in the past as well, which is unfair to the American taxpayer.”

Trump said this while referring to Apple

Citing Apple, Trump said that the company was fined $17 billion, which was completely wrong and it should be recovered. He warned that if Europe does not stop such actions, his government will take strict action under Section 301 and unfair fines will be challenged. The European Commission has made serious allegations against Google.

Why did the European Commission fine Google?

The European Commission has imposed this fine on Google for misusing digital advertising technology. It is alleged that Google behaves unfairly with competitors and online publishers by giving priority to its own services and abuses its power in the market. This entire matter has once again fueled the ongoing dispute between America and Europe regarding tech companies.

  • QUAD’s boat sank… China took a dig at the group of India, US, Australia and Japan, gave ‘knowledge’ as soon as Modi returned from SCO

The Global Times wrote that “the US views its allies not as like-minded partners but as countries from which it can gain economic and security advantages. As long as their interests match US priorities, the partnership lasts. But as soon as interests clash, the US does not hesitate to abandon them.”

Beijing: The SCO summit held in Tianjin city of China has been a huge success. The arrival of Prime Minister Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin has given the SCO summit worldwide coverage. Apart from this, Donald Trump is being criticized in America for pushing India into the camp of China and Russia. But amidst all this, China has been successful in giving the message that by removing America, it is ready to play the role of leader in the new global order. Along with this, China has taken a dig at the QUAD group of America, India, Australia and Japan and has tried to give ‘knowledge’ to Delhi.

The Chinese Communist Party’s mouthpiece Global Times has tried to enlighten India in its editorial by taking a dig at the Quad. It says that ‘In recent years, the trend of “small circle” or alliances based on select countries has increased rapidly in international politics. The US-led “Quad” is an example of this, which includes the US, India, Japan and Australia. Initially it was presented in the name of security and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, but its purpose was to balance China and this is the fundamental weakness of the Quad.”
