H-1B visa: Indians do not need to return, US official makes big statement.

Indians make up more than 70 percent of H-1B visa holders, and Donald Trump’s announcement of a steep fee hike for these visas has caused panic. Now, a US official has said Indians need not panic.

Amid panic among techies over US President Donald Trump’s surprise announcement on H-1B visas, a US official told Hindustan Times on Saturday that there was no need to rush back. “Indians on H1B visas are not required to return to the US until Sunday or pay $100,000 to re-enter the country,” the US official said.

Those who are traveling to or leaving the country, or traveling to India, are not required to return before Sunday or pay the $100,000 fee, a senior US administration official told ANI. The $100,000 is only for new holders, not existing holders.
