There’s important news for LinkedIn users. The social media platform is making changes to its privacy policy. The Microsoft-owned LinkedIn platform will now use its user data to train AI models. Additionally, data is shared with Microsoft. The use of AI is growing rapidly. Companies like Google, OpenAI, and Meta offer AI tools in the market, and they are using user data to improve them.

This has caused considerable concern among people. LinkedIn contains many personal details. Most people use it to search for jobs. The company will implement the new policy starting November 3, 2025. However, if users do not want their details to be used to train the AI, they can stop it by going to the settings.

Go to settings and turn off this option:

  1. If you don’t want your data used to train AI, go to the app’s settings.
  2. Then click on your profile icon.
  3. Then click on Settings.
  4. Now click on Data Privacy.
  5. Here you’ll find the option for Data for Generative AI Improvement. Click on it.
  6. A toggle will appear; click on it to turn it off.
