President Donald Trump said billionaire “George Soros should be in jail” as he continued to threaten the 95-year-old philanthropist and Democratic mega-donor.
President Donald Trump has accused billionaire philanthropist George Soros of funding protests against his administration, calling it a possible RICO case and suggesting Soros should be jailed. Soros, a Holocaust survivor and founder of the Open Society Foundations (OSF), is one of the largest donors to Democratic causes. In response, OSF rejected Trump’s allegations as “outrageous and false,” emphasizing that it does not support violent protests and is committed to democracy, justice, and nonviolence. Trump’s remarks followed the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, after which he vowed to target organizations funding opposition. His renewed attacks on Soros come as the Justice Department investigates several Democratic figures and critics of his policies.
